MONDAY 6/29

MONDAY

The first full day of camp was a blast!

We started our day with Morning Watch led by our Leadership Staff, who shared a beautiful message to give us a great start to our week. This was followed by our Flag Raising, which was done by Hoffman Mountain.

Breakfast consisted of pancakes, bacon, and fruit. The rest of the morning was filled with activities around the camp, such as tree climbing, boating, mountain biking, and basketball.

Lunch was corn dogs, mac and cheese, and cookies for dessert. Keeping up with our tradition, cabins received awards for the cleanest (and dirtiest) cabins. Today, Stone got the Dirty Duck, and Grandfather got the Honor Llama for the cleanest cabin!

Our afternoon was full of adventures with soccer, volleyball, gaga ball, pickleball, dance, and much more…

For dinner, we had grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and coffee cake for dessert. Our evening program was RiverFest, where we played yard games and gym games, and went down our super fun Slip-N-Slide!

The night ended with Grandfather doing the flag lowering, and Whitetop delivering a beautiful speech on trusting God during our Vespers.

What a great day to be by the river!
