Today was an action-packed and joy-filled day at Camp Cheerio! 

We kicked things off with a hearty breakfast of buttery biscuits, crispy bacon, and fluffy eggs—the perfect fuel for a full day of fun. After breakfast, campers headed back to their cabins for cabin clean-up, and we’re excited to congratulate our Honor Cabins of the day: Sioux, Lakota, Wichita, Pawnee, and Seminole—way to keep it tidy! Morning activities were in full swing right after, with campers enjoying rock climbing, riflery, paddle sports, horseback riding, and much more. Laughter and cheers echoed through camp as everyone tried something new and made the most of the morning sunshine. 

Lunch was a fan favorite today—chicken patties with tater tots! Campers left the dining hall with happy bellies and smiles all around before heading back to their cabins for a peaceful rest period. In the afternoon, we dove right back into more exciting activities, followed by some quality cabin time to reconnect with friends. Then came dinner—and not just any dinner—it was ACP Night! Everyone enjoyed plates of arroz con pollo and topped it all off with warm, cream cheese-filled churros for dessert. Delicious! Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, two secret spies dropped into camp with a mysterious message… tonight’s evening program was SPY HUNTER! Campers gathered in the gym for a high-energy kickoff and split into covert team cells to take on the mission. Armed with water guns and secret codes, campers raced through clues, tackled challenges, and had a splashing good time! 

The night ended on a heartwarming note with a funny counselor skit and a peaceful staff slow-down performance featuring acoustic guitar. We wrapped up the day at vespers, where a thoughtful message helped us wind down and reflect on the joy and growth today brought.
