Rain or Shine, the Fun Doesn’t Stop at Camp Cheerio!

Even a little morning drizzle couldn’t dampen our spirits today at Camp Cheerio! Campers kicked off the day with a hearty breakfast of pancakes and sausage before heading off to their morning activities. From horseback riding and arts & crafts to BB shooting and Gaga ball, the camp was buzzing with excitement and creativity. Though we had a few scattered showers throughout the day, it never slowed us down. By lunchtime, everyone was ready for a break and happily dug into crispy chicken tenders, onion rings, and a sweet blondie treat for dessert.

The afternoon brought an extended rest period—much appreciated after a morning full of energy—where campers had the chance to relax, recharge, or just enjoy some quiet time with their friends. Once recharged, it was back to action with more afternoon fun: climbing the wall, swinging at the golf range, and hanging out at the clubhouse. Later, during cabin time, campers and their porchmates got creative choreographing their very own performances for one of our favorite evening programs—Cheerio's Got Talent!

Dinner tonight was a classic camp cookout, and it did not disappoint. We feasted on brisket sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, and chips, all while dancing and celebrating out on the field together. After the cookout, it was time for evening store at the gym, followed by a special moment around the campfire as we lit it together to mark the start of Cheerio’s Got Talent. From hilarious skits to amazing dance performances, our campers truly stole the show and had the entire camp cheering and laughing from start to finish.

It was a day filled with joy, creativity, and connection—rain and all. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
