Today was nothing short of amazing here at Camp Cheerio!

We kicked off the morning with a hearty breakfast of French toast and sausage—fuel for a fun-packed final day. After breakfast, it was time for the much-anticipated final cabin cleanup, and we’re proud to announce that Lakota, Yavapai, Seminole, and Apache cabins earned today’s Honor Cabin title! A special congratulations goes to Apache Cabin for being crowned the Cleanest Cabin of the Week!

The whole camp gathered in the gym next for some high-energy energizers—our favorite way to get moving and laughing—before jumping into one of our most exciting morning games: Predator vs Prey. Campers took on the roles of snakes, spiders, and fleas, dashing around camp in search of food, shelter, and water. It was wild and tons of fun! After the game, cabins enjoyed some downtime together before heading to one of the week’s highlights: our cookout lunch! We devoured burgers and chips outside until a surprise rainstorm rolled in. But even as we moved indoors, spirits stayed high—because at Camp Cheerio, a little rain never dampens the fun!

Afternoon showers brought us a well-earned extended rest period, followed by cozy movie time across camp. Once the skies cleared, campers returned to their cabins for one last round of bonding and began packing up their belongings (how did the week go by so fast?!).

Dinner was a true Cheerio classic: cheerio steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, and to top it off—chocolate cake for dessert! With full hearts and bellies, we headed to the gym once more for energizers and a special showcase featuring incredible performances from our guitar, dance, tumbling, and drama classes. It was amazing to see the talents that blossomed throughout the week!

As the sun set, we gathered by the lake for our Closing Ceremony—a powerful and heartfelt tradition. We honored first-year campers, recognized those reaching club milestones, and celebrated our final-year campers. We also announced each cabin’s Honor Camper, and presented the prestigious Camp Honor Camper award to a camper who embodied the true spirit of Camp Cheerio all week long.

Our night ended with a slideshow that brought smiles, laughter, and even a few tears as we relived the unforgettable moments of the session. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable week at Camp Cheerio.
