Today was one of those perfect summer camp days that reminds us why we’re here. We started the morning with a sweet and satisfying breakfast—cinnamon rolls and cereal—which gave everyone the energy they needed to kick off the day. Before activities began, we wished our campers heading out on the river trip a safe and fun adventure. Their excitement was contagious, and we couldn’t wait to hear all about it when they returned. The rest of the camp jumped into morning activities, from archery and arts & crafts to soccer and cross country.
Lunch was a camp favorite: crispy corn dogs, creamy mac and cheese, and a side of broccoli. Afterward, we settled into rest period, giving everyone a chance to recharge before diving into afternoon activities. The energy picked right back up as campers rotated through their favorite stations, tried new things, and soaked up the sunshine.
Dinner was a delicious spread of chicken alfredo pasta, warm breadsticks, and mixed veggies—hearty and comforting, just what we needed before the evening fun. Twilight Activities followed, giving campers 45 minutes to roam freely and choose their own adventure. Whether it was gaga ball, painting, or just relaxing with friends, the freedom and variety made it a highlight of the day. We ended the night in the gym with a wildly entertaining lip sync battle. Counselors brought their best performances, complete with costumes and choreography. The show closed with a beautiful slow-down duet from two of our head counselors that had everyone swaying and smiling. Finally, we gathered for evening vespers—a quiet, reflective moment to end the day with gratitude and peace.
