From sunrise to starlight, camp was buzzing with energy and excitement. We kicked off our morning with a simple but satisfying breakfast of cereal before gathering together for a meaningful church service—a peaceful moment to reflect.
After church, the anticipation built as we headed back to camp and split into our Olympic Game teams. Laughter and cheer filled the air as campers bonded, strategized, and got into the spirit of friendly competition. Lunch was a feast fit for champions—fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a colorful side of broccoli and cauliflower gave everyone the fuel they needed for the afternoon ahead.
Following an extended rest period (much appreciated!), we dove into one of the highlights of the day: the Olympic ceremony. Team captains carried handmade torches and lit the campfire, marking the official start of the games. Then it was off to the races—literally! Campers dashed across the grounds participating in all kinds of activities, giving it their all with incredible energy and enthusiasm. A huge round of applause to the Blue Team for their well-earned victory!
The evening rolled in with cozy cabin time while staff worked their magic preparing for the cookout and dance. Dinner was a classic camp treat—hotdogs with chili, slaw, and chips—before the crowd gathered for one of the most anticipated events of the week: the dance! Music, movement, and friendship filled the night. For campers who preferred a quieter evening, a movie night featuring Lilo & Stitch provided a relaxed, fun alternative.
It was a day to remember—filled with joy, connection, and unforgettable camp magic.
