4G: June 22nd – July 4th

Today was an absolute highlight at Camp Cheerio, filled with laughter, energy, and a strong sense of community. We kicked things off with cereal, yogurt, and warm cinnamon rolls. Congratulations to Sioux and Blackfoot, our Honor Cabins of the day! They wowed everyone with their tidiness. The morning weather couldn’t have been more perfect, encouraging campers to fully dive into their first-half activities like horseback riding, arts & crafts, BBs, archery, paddle sports, and more.

Lunchtime brought classic camp favorites to the table—corn dogs, cheesy mac & cheese, and the ultimate sweet treat: funnel cake. After lunch, campers enjoyed an extended rest period that gave them the chance to reset before heading into the afternoon. Though the weather took a turn and pushed cabin time indoors, the fun didn’t slow down. Everyone made the most of the rainy afternoon with games, laughter, and quality time with their cabinmates.

Dinner was a delicious spread of rice, chicken pot pie, brussels sprouts, and gooey chocolate chip cookies—just what we needed to fuel up for the evening festivities. The Thrive Captains led a hilarious rap battle that had everyone involved, followed by indoor scavenger hunt!

To end the night on a meaningful note, we gathered in the gym for store and friendship vespers. Our last-year campers gave heartfelt reflections on how Camp Cheerio has shaped their journey, creating a truly special atmosphere of love and gratitude. With TOJ Day right around the corner, the excitement is already building for what’s sure to be another unforgettable adventure!
