Friday 7/17

Friday 7/17

Campers enjoyed a well-deserved opportunity to sleep in before heading to breakfast, where they were served a hearty meal of chicken and biscuits. It was the perfect way to start the day after a busy week of camp activities.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was that the entire lodge earned Honor Cabin! This recognition reflects the hard work, teamwork, and responsibility that every camper demonstrated during cabin cleanup. We are so proud of everyone's efforts!

Lunch featured camp favorites, including mac and cheese, corndogs, broccoli, and Rice Krispies treats. After lunch, campers enjoyed an extended rest period, giving everyone extra time to recharge before the afternoon.

Our CREW campers had exciting opportunities today as they continued preparing for future leadership roles. The boys participated in CIT-IT, where they were assigned to various activities and cabins to get an inside look at what it's like to be a camp counselor. They had the chance to observe, assist, and learn from our staff while gaining valuable experience.

For dinner, campers gathered for a delicious meal of lasagna, breadsticks, and banana pudding for dessert. The evening wrapped up with S'mores Night! Cabins built campfires, roasted marshmallows, and enjoyed making s'mores together while spending quality time with their cabin groups under the evening sky. Meanwhile, the girls participating in CREW experienced Solo Night in the woods, a special camp tradition that offers time for quiet reflection, independence, and personal growth. It was a meaningful opportunity for them to step away from the busyness of camp and enjoy the peacefulness of nature.
