1G: June 1st – June 6th

It’s hard to believe the week is almost over! Today was our last full day at Camp Cheerio, and we filled it with as much fun, laughter, and memory-making as we could. Campers wrapped up their final activity periods this morning—one last chance to paddle across the lake, finish that friendship bracelet, or reach the top of the climbing wall. It’s been amazing to see how much they’ve grown in just a few short days!

Meals were delicious all day long: French toast for breakfast, a sunny cookout lunch with burgers, and a camp favorite for dinner—Cheerio Steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls. After dinner, our Senior and Junior Counselors surprised everyone with some songs, which led right into Twilight Activities—our choose-your-own-adventure evening where campers picked to participate in their favorite activities one last time or to try something new. Later, we all gathered in the gym to cheer on our performance classes. From dance and drama to cheer tumbling, the talent and effort these girls showed was incredible. They’ve worked hard all week, and it truly showed! To end the night, we walked down to our Closing Ceremony grounds. Sitting together under the stars, we reflected on the values that make Cheerio so special—friendship, kindness, courage, and community. The slideshow at the end was the perfect way to relive all the fun we’ve had this week.

Thank you for letting us spend this time with your amazing girls. We’ve loved every moment and can’t wait to see them back at camp again soon!
