Today was full of surprises – starting with the weather! One minute it was sunny, the next it looked like rain... and then back again! But that didn’t stop us from having a blast all day long. We kicked off the morning with a delicious breakfast of eggs, biscuits, grits, and bacon. After fueling up, campers headed out to their first and second activity periods – from arts and crafts to archery and everything in between! Lunch was a camp favorite – chicken patties! And a big congratulations goes to cabins Mohican, Occaneechi, and Maricopa for earning Honor Cabin today.
After lunch, campers jumped back into the action for third and fourth period activities. Then it was time to relax and recharge during cabin time before getting ready for dinner. Speaking of dinner… tonight’s meal was a total win: taco night with cream cheese-filled churros for dessert! Our evening program was the exciting and always unpredictable Spy Hunter. Campers split into teams – red, white, and blue vs. the staff on green and purple – for a water-filled, action-packed game across camp. There were water guns, sneaky spies, and lots of laughs! To wrap up the night, everyone cooled off with a sweet treat from the camp store, enjoyed a silly skit that had everyone giggling, and listened to a special song sung by one of our awesome staff members. We ended the evening with peaceful vespers, reflecting on all the fun and friendship that make camp so special!
