We had another fantastic day at camp! The weather was perfect from sunrise to sunset, and our campers made the most of every moment. We kicked off the day with a yummy breakfast of cereal and yogurt to fuel up for the fun ahead. After breakfast, it was time for cabin clean-up—and wow, did our campers shine! A big round of applause to Cheyenne, Navajo, Hatteras, Arapahoe, and Catawba for earning the title of Honor Cabin today!

The morning was buzzing with excitement as campers headed to their first two activities. Whether they were riding horses, hitting bullseyes in archery, trying their hand at skeet shooting, or getting creative in arts and crafts, everyone was all smiles. Lunch was a crowd-pleaser: mac and cheese with mini corn dogs—a true camp classic! Afterward, we had a relaxing rest period to recharge before diving into more activities for 3rd and 4th periods. It was a hot one, but our campers stayed cool by remembering to “drink their sunscreen and wear their water” (we love their silly way of saying stay hydrated and wear sunscreen!).

Dinner was delicious: lasagna, breadsticks, and Caesar salad—yum! But the real highlight of the evening was our Dino Egg Hunt! Counselors and staff dressed up in hilarious dinosaur costumes and hid around camp with watermelons, while campers raced to find the hidden “dino eggs.” It was a ROAR-some time! To top it all off, we ended the night with a lip sync battle, a beautiful duet guitar performance, and a peaceful vespers session to wind down.

We’re so proud of our campers for their energy, creativity, and teamwork today. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
