Monday 6/15

Monday 6/15

We kick started this wonderful Monday with biscuits, bacon, eggs, pineapple, and grits...so yummy! During breakfast we had a visit from our local weather team predicting clear skies all day long! Yay! Following breakfast everyone headed back to their cabins for cabin clean up! Soon the bugle rang and everyone was off to their first and second period activities. Campers participated in rock climbing, hiking, arts and crafts, high ropes, and basketball too!

After a fun morning full of activities it was time for lunch! Today we had chicken patty sandwiches, tater tots, corn, and lemon bars! As lunch was cleaned up, cabin clean up winners were announced...shout out to Apache and Sioux for winning today! Cabin clean up results were then interrupted by a visit from our Swedish friends Gustav and Ingrid! They were just stopping by to say hello! Next was a much needed rest period before third and fourth activities.

Campers enjoyed cheer and tumble, lacrosse, and canoeing along with many other activities this afternoon. After fourth period, campers then headed back to their cabins for cabin time! Campers spent time getting to know their cabin mates and counselors at different activities. They then quickly headed to the dinning hall for dinner! Tonight we enjoyed tacos and churros, delicious! Dinner concluded with a visit from some super sneaky spies announcing our evening program as...Spy Hunter!

During Spy Hunter, campers were split into three teams hunting down clues around camp and chasing other teams with water guns! Congrats white team for winning! After Spy Hunter, everyone headed back into the gym for store! As a beautiful pink sky set behind the mountains we headed to vespers to reflect on the day before heading to bed.

We had such a great day and can't wait for tomorrow!
